Exercise from the chapter "Ohm's law & resistance"
Level 3 of 5 · Skills: Analyse
The ohmmeter shows the resistance of wire F1 (aluminium, α = 0.004 /°C) at 20 °C.
The wire will be heated to 80 °C: what will the ohmmeter read? Answer, then watch.
Parametric exercise: the values change with every draw; these are one example.
R = R₂₀ (1 + α Δθ) = 14 × (1 + 0.004 × (80 − 20)) = 17.4 Ω. The wire temperature slider is now at 80 °C.
