Exercise from the chapter "Real generators & loads"
Level 3 of 5 · Skills: Analyse
E1 (6 V, r = 0.5 Ω) and E2 (1.5 V, r = 0.5 Ω) are connected in opposition (+ against +) through R1 = 4.7 Ω. What current will A1 show, and which one is being recharged?
Parametric exercise: the values change with every draw; these are one example.
I = (6 − 1.5) / (0.5 + 0.5 + 4.7) = 789 mA. E1 delivers, E2 receives the current at its +: it is being recharged (load).
