Exercise from the chapter "Ohm's law & resistance"
Level 3 of 5 · Skills: Build, Calculate
Copper wire F1 (cross-section 1.5 mm²) is locked except for its length. Set it (inspector) so that its resistance is 1 Ω (within 3 %).
Parametric exercise: the values change with every draw; these are one example.
l = R·S/ρ = 1 × 1.5 × 10⁻⁶ / 1.7 × 10⁻⁸ = 88.2 m. The wire shows its computed resistance live.
